He Belongs to a Banaras Gharana Family which is into music for at least ten generations and beyond and amazingly all of them happen to be a musician and some to be an icon in their field. He started his learning process from his Father Pt. Sohan Lal Mishra & his uncle Pt. Mohan Lal Mishra. His family is said to be the torchbearer of the Banaras Gharana of India. Tabla Maestro Pt. Bundi Maharaj Ji is his great Grandfather & his grandfather pt. Damodar Mishra did the same in vocal music with his superb voice & excellent presentation of Ragas. The big break in his career as a Harmonium player was when he got a chance of accompanying Padmavi Bhushan Pandit Rajn-Sajan Mishra Ji had been performing as harmonium-accompanies with an established artist like Padamvibhushusan Vidhushi Dr. Girja Devi Ji and many stalwarts.

Education

A commerce Graduate from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, He won several awards in many cultural fests. Through musical training, he learned how to give a new dimension in Ghazal, Bhajan, Geet compositions on Indian Ragas and Raganeers.
